January and so far February, have being really good fishing months. Lots of striped and blues. Rampage 33, own by Pat Patel, (Ocotal boats owner) landed 550 + black. Same day had Super Grand Slam. 1 blue, 1 striped, 1 black and 1 sailfish!!! In 3 days landed 5 marlins out of 9.They also had bull size Dorado’s…Macha boat, run by Capt. Tiger & mate Little Richard, had Grand Slam, 1 blue, 1 striped and 1 sailfish. Ahí, run by Capt. Paulo and mate Jonathan reported one day 7 marlins raised, landing 4. So far the Papagayo winds have not being so bad, same water temperatures. Lots of bull size Dorado’s, some Wahoo’s. Slow on tunas. |
